The service shall ensure the possibility to receive a statement from the Population Register regarding the declared or registered place of residence of a person (a person under the guardianship or guardianship of a person), as well as the last declared or registered place of residence of the deceased person in the Province of Tuma.

Process description

  1. Service requests
    In order to receive a statement regarding the declared, registered or indicated place of residence of a person, the person must come to the municipality of Tuma, present the necessary documents, complete the request.
    Required documents:
    - a personal identification document (passport or eID card);
    - the authorised person shall present the original of the mandate;
    - the legal representative shall present a document certifying the guardianship or guardianship, if such information is not included in the Population Register;
    - originals of documents certifying the receipt of information or copies thereof, which have been certified in accordance with the procedures specified in regulatory enactments.

  2. A service charge
    In order to obtain a statement, the service applicant must pay the national fee of EUR 2,50. This amount may be paid to the local government treasury of Tukuma.

    The amount of the State fee shall be reduced by 50% if the statement of the declaration of residence is requested:
    - the politically repressed person;
    - a member of the national resistance movement;
    - a person who has three children or more under 18 years of age, either alone or with the spouse or the spouse of the person concerned (including children in custody or in a foster family);
    - a guardian or trustee for a person under guardianship or guardianship.

    The following persons shall be exempt from payment of the State fee:
    - a person with disabilities;
    - Member of the accident of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant;
    - a person who has reached the age specified for the granting of an old-age pension in the Republic of Latvia;
    - a person who has been granted an old-age pension in the Republic of Latvia;
    - a member of a poor family or a poor person living separately.
    In order to receive relief or exemption from payment of the State fee, the person shall present the relevant status or evidence-of-fact document (to be presented in the original), if it is not at the disposal of the local government.

  3. Receipt of services
    After completing the application, the presentation of the necessary documents and supporting documents, the person shall receive the required statement of the declaration of residence.
